Bristol Teaching Awards – nominate before 4th May, 9am.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share details about the Bristol Teaching Awards with staff and students and placed a nomination!

This is your final chance to nominate – recognising and celebrating those staff who have made an outstanding contribution to teaching, the provision of support for students, and enhancing the student learning experience. Nomination close on Tuesday at 9am.

Festival of Undergraduate Research 2021 Showcase resources

Thank you to all the staff and students who attended our Festival of Undergraduate Research on Wednesday. The day was a huge success and it was wonderful to see so much innovative research being produced and presented by students from across our University community. Thanks also to our wonderful workshop presenters. Video resources from the Festival will be made available shortly – watch this space. Student poster presentation submissions are available to view now on our blog’s Festival Showcase.

Humans of Bristol University – available on Instagram

Humans of Bristol University shares the stories of influential members of the community, and discusses the relationship between their roles and teaching/ learning experiences as well as BILT’s themes. It aims to celebrate students at the University and their involvements, to commend them on their efforts, showcase their achievements, and inspire others!

This year, the initiative has been integrated into our instagram page @biltonline. You’ll find interviews with several students, including the Chair of the Wellbeing Network, student journalists, a Who Wants to be a Millionaire contestant and many more! A new interview is posted every Monday and Thursday! You can also view the series archive on the BILT blog.

Events

Bristol Teaching Celebration event – Wednesday 16th June, 2pm – 3:30pm

The Bristol Teaching Celebration event is open to all staff who have taught, supported and enabled the education of our students this year. Join us, along with the Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) to celebrate and thank staff for their efforts this year and for the announcement of the Bristol Teaching Awards winners. Find out more and register to attend.
