In the run up to BILT’s Annual Conference, we’ll be sharing a monthly blog related to our conference theme: building community and belonging in a challenging and changing world.
Over a series of short articles, we hope to reflect on some of the recent debates and key literature central to aspects of community.
For the first in the blog series, we’ll look at some of the underlying ideas behind the term ‘communities of practice’. Later blogs will cover: conceptualizing belonging; creativity; community building; creating communities within and across disciplines and a number of other related themes.
We hope the blogs will engage with the BILT community by inviting responses to some of the questions posed in the articles; these responses can take many forms – our first blog in the series will explain more…
We would also love this to be an opportunity for those in the BILT community to contribute their own blog to the series. If you are interested in contributing, please contact us: bilt-conference@bristol.ac.uk
