Call for case studies
We’re looking to expand our case studies collection! We are especially looking for colleagues who are doing large (>200!) group teaching and hybrid teaching. Do you think you have something to share? Please get in touch at bilt-info@bristol.ac.uk.
Call for contributors – ‘Pedagogy Podcasts’
We are looking for contributors for a new Pedagogy Podcast, a series of short conversations which centre on a range of thinkers/concepts or theories related to learning, teaching and assessment. The podcasts will feature in our new Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) and on our HEA Fellowship Scheme and will also be widely available for everyone across the University. Find full details and contact information here.

‘Decolonising the Curriculum’ newsletter
We released our first ‘Decolonising the Curriculum’ newsletter on Monday, highlighting the work taking place around the University, upcoming events and a short summary of an upcoming case study in the Department of Music. You can read the newsletter here. If you’d like to be on the mailing list for this newsletter please complete the quick sign up form
*Please note: this newsletter was circulated earlier in the week and a couple of events have now passed
Case studies spotlight
Our case studies spotlight this week is on self-reflection as a practitioner. With the start of our PGCAP programme this week, we thought it would be a good opportunity for staff to think about their own practice and reflect on how they make changes. View our case studies here.
‘From fuzzy to compassionate’ blog
Aisling Tierney has shared a blog about changes in viewpoints and offers some suggestions as to how to share your position with your students. Our upcoming annual conference theme is also revealed in this post! Read the blog here.
Futurelearn courses
The next run of Bristol Futures Futurelearn courses start on February 14th. Staff and students are welcome to sign up to the courses on Innovation and Enterprise, Sustainable Futures and Global Citizenship. Watch the trailers and find out more here.
