Emily created and led the successful implementation of a new residential field course for 200+ students in October 2022, to support their transition to (and sense of belonging at) our university. This course took a lot of planning, including effective coordination of staff from the university and external on-site staff to be successful.
She has re-developed the teaching on this course to reduce assessment load, focus more on skills than delivering scientific content, and to include some reflective assessments that support our students to transition to study and life at university.
