Bristol Teaching Celebration (including Bristol Teaching Awards) – 8th June at 2pm – register now!
Less than two weeks to go until the Bristol Teaching Celebration and announcement of the winners of this year’s Bristol Teaching Awards. The Bristol Teaching Celebration event is an opportunity for all associated teaching and learning staff to come together, celebrate the year’s achievements and for the University to formally thank staff for their outstanding contributions.

BILT Summer Hackathon – exciting paid opportunity for students!
This 4-day hackathon event taking place on Monday 25th – Thursday 28th July from 10am – 4pm, provides a unique opportunity for students to provide feedback, input and suggestions on how the University creates a sense of belonging and nurtures student wellbeing through teaching and assessment. The hackathon will explore how teaching, learning and assessment practices can be designed to make students feel part of a learning community and create a deeper sense of connection to the subject and each other. We want to delve deeper into how teaching, learning and assessment practices can improve wellbeing and create positive experiences. Closing date for applications – 16th June.

Research Assistant opportunities for postgraduate students
Our current BILT Associates, working on a project to better understand students’ experiences of transitioning to study, are looking to employ postgraduate students to assist in supporting research activities. They are look for students from a range of disciplines who are currently working as HPTs and TAs. Activities will involve undertaking focus groups and interviews in July and into September/October. Please share this opportunity with any relevant students. Closing date for applications – 13th June.

Decolonising Education from Theory to Praxis – Seminar two: Conceptualising decolonisation as praxis, 9th June, 1 – 2.30pm
