Tickets now available to book for BILT annual conference – The Compassionate Conference
Our annual conference this year takes place online on the 28th June and will explore how in difficult times we can take hopeful and compassionate approaches to teaching and assessment for transformational learning, both in person and online. The full schedule for the event, as well as a link to book your ticket, is now available to view.
The conference is a brilliant opportunity to connect and hear from colleagues in an informal but informative way.

Student Research Festival Success
Our second Student Research Festival took place on Wednesday and was a huge success! There were four streams of presentations taking place simultaneously and a gallery of research posters to browse between sessions.
The entire event was organised and hosted by two of our Student Fellows, Dan Anthony and Tasha Suresh, with support from UG Economics students Hugo Figueiredo, Nick Nikolopolous and Vaibhav Phuloria for the Economics stream and Student Fellow Carlos Shanka Boissy Diaz and Sustainability Champion Mehwish Kareem for the Sustainability stream. We will be hosting the event again next year so please keep a keen eye on the BILT Briefings and our Twitter page to see when opportunities for your students are posted!
View Bristol Teaching Award nominations on the Thanks and Recognition Wall
Nominations have now closed for the Bristol Teaching Awards – this year we received 870 nominations, which is incredible! The vast majority of these were from students nominating their teachers, and it is so fantastic to see the amount of appreciation shown! You can view all approved nominations on the Thanks and Recognition wall.
We will be announcing the shortlist on the w/c 9th May. You can read more about the Awards on our website.

Dr Aisling Tierney has written an informative piece about research-led teaching and how you can start to implement it in your teaching and the benefits it can bring to your curriculum.
