Tales of the Digital (and Blended): Small things that make a big difference – discussion workshops.

Our staff and student community have learnt an enormous amount about online teaching and blended learning over TB1. Come along to this online conversation to explore inspiring practices with a range of colleagues across the University, troubleshoot problems and find creative solutions to some of the challenges. Workshops are taking place online, on the following dates – note the rooms will be open for 15 minutes before and after the sessions for attendees to engage in informal discussions. Student ‘Blended Learning Experience’ hackathon – outcomes

BILT undertook a student hackathon last week, providing an opportunity for the University to find out more about the student experience of blended learning and involve students in tackling and problem solving some of the common challenges and issues experienced so far this year. Digitally Ready Reflect/Reboot – for students

New Digitally Ready resources are available for students to take stock, brush up their skills and tackle the rest of term with confidence. The resources include a brand new troubleshooting guide for live sessions. Please do share these resources with any students you teach who may find them useful.

Digital-only course design: lessons learned from Sustainable Futures

In this blog, BILT Lecturer Aisling Tierney outlines details about the Sustainable Future open online course and core principles of its success before reflecting on feedback from participants and changes for the future of the course.

Engaged Learning Community meeting – 9th December, 3pm – 4pm

The next Engaged Learning Community meeting will take place on the 9th of December where the group will be discussing how Engaged Learning opportunities have been moved online this year. Attendees will hear a couple of examples which explore the transition to online and there’ll be plenty of time to share your experiences too.  Email Hannah Tweddell, Engaged Learning Coordinator for more details and to join the meeting. FUTURES2020 – 27th and 28th November

FUTURES2020 would like to invite you to the largest showcase of cutting-edge research in the South West on 27th and 28th November.
